Mid-month Toronto stats
The average sale price for homes during the first two weeks of September was $496,786, about 9% up from the comparable period in 2011. The number of sales was down about 15% from last year at this time.
While supply is tight across the GTA, the current figures point to especially strong demand within the 416 core. House prices in the City of Toronto are rising dramatically compared to the 905 area, while prices for condo apartments are also rising, though at a more gradual rate.
